Kicking the conservatism within the classical music industry is what I like to do. We may play old music, but that doesn't mean the rest around it has to stay old too. Music is a huge playing field, yet we build fences around it in the classical world. Why? When we literally have so much to play with! Classical music can and must be different. More adventurous, closer, fresh, fierce and above all more spontaneous. Away with the traditional concerts, dressed in black, where everyone has to sit still and everyone can actually only enjoy it to a limited extent. It is extremely important to preserve classical music, but we must respond to the needs of the audience. Not only to innovate, but also to preserve classical music.
I challenge the status quo. Do you want to experience that?
of course I’ll also play classical music the classic way if you want me to ;)
